30 Day Challenge
Gratitude changes attitude and turns what we have into enough!
What if you could actually do something that changes your life starting right now? You can. By cultivating a gratitude practice, you can make a profound difference in how you feel starting today.
Sure, you’ve heard a lot about gratitude, and certainly Oprah has done more than her share of advocating for it. But just because we know about something doesn’t mean we do it. Saying “eat healthy” over and over doesn’t have much of an effect on your health unless you do it, right? Same with strengthening your sense of gratitude—it’s a muscle that you must flex to reap the benefits of.
And those benefits are plentiful. Gratitude has been shown to reduce the negative effects of stress, improve sleep, and cultivate positive emotions (there’s a ton of research to prove it).
Today, make a decision that is both fun and easy (for the most part) and take my 30 day gratitude challenge:
Here’s how it works:
Each day you will receive an email of what the gratitude challenge is for the day.
You will join the private Facebook group where other women are upping their gratitude quotient and sharing about it! Don’t worry, after you’re enrolled I will add you :-)
Each day share in the group 1 reason you’re grateful for that days challenge. As you write what you’re sharing, give yourself a moment to really focus on each thing, like you’re savoring something delicious. Some days the challenges will be super simple—nothing is too small. For example: Favorite coffee this AM, Easy commute home or Funny chat with my brother) Other days, the challenges will be bigger. Like I’m grateful for my job (even if I hate it) or for forgiveness, something I love about myself, etc...
Continue to complete each days challenge for 30 days. ABAG30 gives you something new every day so you don’t have to think of new things yourself or worry about listing the same things over and over.
You will do your gratitude challenge every day for 30 days - this is how you learn to flex your gratitude muscle!
There will be days when this challenge will feel like just that - a challenge! But stick to it, you’ll be glad that you did.
What you get:
~1 new challenge every day so you don’t have to think up new things yourself
~Downloadable journal with all of the challenges on the 31st day
~A quote, parable or scripture to go with each days challenge
~Access to the private Facebook group where other women are sharing what they are grateful for along with you
At the end of 30 days you will not only have established a new habit, but you'll also have at least 30 new things to be grateful for. It’s guaranteed to make you think of your month differently! This ultimately transfer to way you think about your entire life if you continue to practice on your own beyond the challenge.
Even during hard times there is always, always something you can point to and say, I am grateful for this. “The weather was so beautiful,” or “I love working with Amy,” or “This is the best pasta I’ve ever had.” The small things may seem small, but together they create meaning; they make you feel more fulfilled and positive. And they add up to something very big indeed.
p.s. If you have a friend who’s been confiding in you that she wants to feel more joy and fulfillment in her day-to-day life, you have my full permission to invite her to do the challenge with you.
So, you ready? Sign up now, next challenge starts 11/1/17!
